The crop itself is an excellent indicator of its own environment. Therefore, determining what the crop is saying can help great deal in the understanding of the characteristics and variability within the cropping system. Arguably, the best method of assessing crop condition is from the analysis of vertically sensed imagery. This imagery can be sourced from either an aerial or a satellite platform.
